Why choose an emerald cut diamond?

Emerald cuts use long, rectangular step-cut facets that create a 'hall of mirrors' effect. Rather than intense sparkle, they show off a diamond's clarity and give a sleek, art deco look that is popular for engagement rings and earrings.

How to choose an emerald cut lab-grown diamond

Clarity. The open step-cut facets make inclusions easier to see, so VS1 or higher is a good choice.

Length-to-width ratio. Classic emerald cuts are around 1.30 to 1.50; square emerald cuts are close to 1.00.

Colour. D to G gives the cleanest, whitest look in a step cut.
