Why choose an oval lab-grown diamond?

Oval cut diamonds share the round brilliant's sparkle in an elongated silhouette that looks larger for its carat weight and visually lengthens the finger, which is why they are one of the most popular engagement ring shapes.

How to choose an oval diamond

Length-to-width ratio. Most people prefer an oval between about 1.35 and 1.50; lower ratios look fuller, higher ratios look slimmer and longer.

Colour and clarity. D to F colour gives the whitest look; G and H look white once set and offer great value. VS1 and VS2 clarity are eye-clean.

Bow-tie. Many ovals show a darker bow-tie shape across the centre. A well-cut oval keeps it subtle, so it is worth looking at a stone closely before you choose.

Can I see these diamonds in your London store?

Our London store displays finished jewellery and a smaller selection of gemstones. Our loose diamonds are held at our workshop, so they are not on display in store.
